The Website Planning Worksheet:
This is a series of questions designed to help us formulate a foundation for the TYPE of site necessary for achieving your objectives. It is important to remember that a design and content are driven by your business objective. (What do you want to acheive with your website?)
Consultation:
Our professional design representatives will work with you in putting your information together and begin formulating a draft of your site. This ensures direction for our meetings and minimizes our time away from the office. From the initial consultation, we are then able to identify in detail your objectives as well as the scope and depth of your project.
The Proposal:
With information in hand, we begin the process of outlining and mapping your site. This includes meeting with our back office programmers to address in advance any connectivity requirements for specific data gathering. We also discuss design elements for your site and review any web addresses you may have provided for reference. Once we have completed this evaluation process a formal written proposal with a contract is submitted. In this document you will find a complete and comprehensive outline. Items covered address quality control checkpoints, costs schedules, content requirements and a graphical site map defining sections and navigation. Upon approval of the initial architecture and an Agreement for Services, you will be assigned a project manager who will then proceed to develop action items and develop a specific site map that will serve as the actual development specifications.
Planning and Architecture:
After approval and receipt of your action item materials we begin organizing by level of priority and content. This is where we map in detail, the structure of your site. Most visitors are looking for information. It is critical that the information they seek is easily accessible. We accomplish this with well strategic design, intuitive, navigational text and icons.
Development and Implementation:
This is where your site takes on form with color palettes, photographs, illustrations, fonts and other graphical elements. It is in this design phase that a look and feel is established. By creating a home page which is posted to a special "online proofing" section you will review the general appearance. Any adjustments are made at this time. Once the navigation and design is approved the site moves into production. At this time the backend processes will also start to take shape and will be presented for demonstration and approval.
Testing and Analysis:
When site development and design production is complete, it is placed in the final proofing section for review and testing. During this stage, Digital Bay Media, Inc. will review the site with you and make sure all interactive components are working properly. Any inconsistencies or errors are corrected at this time. The site goes live only after it meets with your approval.
